As an organization committed to changing the lives of children (in our care) are looking for special people as volunteers to work with our special children. If you have some spare time, we are looking for energetic, creative and motivated individuals to help us enrich the lives of children. In turn, we can provide a meaningful volunteer experience that will leave a lasting impression not only on the child, but you!
Our goal is to actively assist, support and provide guidance to those in need as well as be a positive force and influence in the community. The achievement of this goal is best served with the active participation of members of the community, and to this end we encourage volunteers to become involved at all levels of the agency where appropriate. Staff and volunteers are encouraged to work as a team, the volunteer’s role is to provide additional support to the staff, broaden the care and services already being provided, and achieve goals that might not otherwise be realized.
Volunteers are an important part of the delivery of the service to the children in our care, provide enhancement of existing service, contributing additional program support, promoting community participation and serve as an additional resource for staff.
The Volunteer Program at BCS is committed to offering training opportunities within available resources that provide an opportunity for volunteers to gain skills and knowledge directly related to their volunteer placement. Personal growth and development is achieved by participating in the various training sessions offered through the Volunteer Program and by taking advantage of other training that may be available through the agency.
Currently, Banyan Community Services Volunteer Program is actively recruiting volunteers for:
